What is Aluminum Extrusion Die?
What is an Aluminum Extrusion Die? An extrusion die is a thick steel disk with an opening-- and malleable aluminum alloy passes through it during the extrusion process. The opening in the die matches the cross-sectional profile that's specified by the extrusion designer.
Extrusion dies can be made to form a virtually limitless array of sizes and shapes. The die itself is a steel disk (normally H13) with an opening, the size and shape of the intended cross-section of the final extruded product, cut through it.
Aluminum extrusion dies are broadly grouped as solid (or flat) dies, which produce solid shapes, and hollow dies, which produce semihollow or hollow shapes.
Combinations of solid, semihollow, and/or hollow shapes may be incorporated into a single die.
Which machine tools can made the aluminum extrusion dies? Taiye Machine tools have high performance CNC machine tools manufacturing experience since 2005, we have a complete set of machine tools and equipment needed for mold production, especially our CNC lathes, machining centers, wire cutting EDM, etc., have been specially optimized for mold production, and have been highly praised by customers.
