What should we do when using a wire-cut EDM machine for the first time?
For the users who use the wire cutting EDM machine for the first time, it is both unfamiliar and familiar; the familiar is that it is roughly the same as the ordinary wire cutting EDM, and the strange thing is that it has its own unique process. What should the spark machine do?
The wire cutting machine tool has certain requirements for the size of the workpiece to be processed. The wire cutting machine is not a universal processing equipment, which is related to the size and stroke of the machine tool itself:
First of all, during the wire cutting process, the Φ1.0-Φ1.5mm threading hole is pre-processed in the appropriate position of the blank with a punching machine or an EDM machine, and the center of the threading hole and the punch contour line are processed. The length of the incoming cutting line segment is 5-10mm;
Then the width of the contour line of the punch and the edge of the blank should be at least 1/5 of the thickness of the blank;
Next, the connection part reserved for subsequent cutting (that is, the so-called pause point) should be selected near the center of gravity of the workpiece blank, with a width of 3-4mm (the specific width depends on the size of the workpiece);
Next, in order to compensate the torsional deformation, most of the residual deformation is left in the first rough cutting stage of the middle wire, and the offset is increased to 0.15-0.18mm. The following 3 times adopt the fine cutting method, because the cutting allowance is small, the deformation amount is also smaller;
Finally, after 4 cuts of most of the shapes, blow dry the workpiece with compressed air, then wash the end face of the blank with alcohol solution, dry it in the air, and then use a binder or liquid quick-drying glue to grind the thickness flattened by the grinder. The metal sheet of about 0.3mm is firmly adhered to the blank, and then the reserved connection part of the workpiece is cut according to the original 4 offsets
